Norfolk Radio: WNIS Drops Parker For Kilmeade & Friends

Dave Parker’s locally produced 10 a.m.-noon talk show on WNIS 790-AM disappeared Monday, replaced by the syndicated program “Kilmeade & Friends” from Fox News Radio.

Dave Parker
Parker can strill be heard on another Sinclair Broadcasting station, Country music WUSH 106.1 FM, from 1 to 3 p.m. weekdays.

The former TV weatherman will appear from time to time with Tony Macrini’s morning news team on WNIS. Parker will fill in when Macrini is off.

Brian Kilmeade is a host on the Fox News Channel TV show “Fox & Friends,” with Ainsley Earhardt and Steve Doocy. He does “Fox & Friends” weekdays from 6 to 9 a.m., then does the radio show from 9 a.m. to noon. WNIS carries only the 10 a.m.-noon segment.

Bob Sinclair, who runs family-owned Sinclair Communications, said Parker’s WNIS show was as good as any locally produced programming, but he replaced Parker with “Kilmeade & Friends” because he wants to bring the country’s heavy hitters to WNIS.
