D/FW Radio: The Ticket Raises $478K During Radiothon

Cumulus Media announces that Sportsradio 1310 AM & 96.7 FM The Ticket raised $478,000 for the Austin Street Centre in the 16th Annual Whataburger Norm-a-thon held on December 28, 2016.

The annual benefit radiothon was broadcast live on Sportsradio KTCK 1310 AM / 96.7 FM The Ticket from 6AM to 12AM Midnight at Starpower in Dallas, Texas.

The Norm-a-thon featured special guests including: Jon Daniels, Eddie Gossage, Rick Carlisle, Cliff Harris, Troy Aikman, Jeff Banister, Martin and Gerina Piller, Travis Frederick, June Jones, Mike Heika, Rick Gosselin, Vince Young, Eric Nadel, David Moore, Robert Wilonsky, Kevin Von Erich, Jeff Bowers and Brian Dameris, who called in or appeared at the event to make it a special day for listeners and the DFW community.

Norm-a-thon is an annual fundraiser spearheaded by on-air personality Norm Hitzges to benefit the Austin Street Centre, a nonprofit organization that provides emergency shelter and related services in the Dallas area. Norm-a-thon has raised over $4 million in its 16-year history and has exceeded donation expectations for the 16th year thanks to loyal Ticket listeners and generous sponsors including Whataburger and Starpower.

Norm Hitzges and Donovan Lewis will present a check to Austin Street Centre at a later date at the AT&T Plaza in Downtown Dallas.
