Pittsburgh Radio: Mark Anderson Promoted to VP/Programming

CBS RADIO Pittsburgh has elevated Mark Anderson to Vice President, Programming, effective immediately, up from his current role as Pittsburgh Operations Manager and Program Director of Top40 WBZZ 100.7 StarFM and Country WDSY 107.9 FM Y108.

 Anderson will continue to report to Michael Young, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS RADIO Pittsburgh. The market includes four radio stations including Talk KDKA-AM, Sports KDKA-FM, WBZZ-FM, and WDSY-FM.

In his newly expanded role as Vice President of Programming, Anderson will provide operational guidance and oversight as well as leadership in developing new products, partnerships and opportunities for all of the Pittsburgh stations. He will also continue to serve as Program Director for both WBZZ-FM and WDSY-FM.  Jim Graci will continue in his role as Program Director of KDKA-AM and KDKA-FM.

“Mark is a well-seasoned programming executive who has a strong track record of successfully managing the day-to-day details as well as the long-term vision and creativity to develop and advance exciting new concepts,” said Young.  “As our products evolve to engage audiences beyond the airwaves, I am excited about the additional contributions that Mark will make to all of our stations.”

Anderson added, “I am very fortunate to be working alongside the very talented and passionate team at CBS RADIO Pittsburgh, which has been the highlight of my career.  I’m ecstatic to continue our relationship in this expanded capacity.”

Anderson joined CBS RADIO Pittsburgh in 2010 and has served in his current position since then. He has worked in the radio industry since 1991, and prior to his responsibilities with CBS RADIO, Anderson held similar operational and programming roles with other radio stations and companies located in St. Louis, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.
