Fargo Radio: Talker Mike McFeely Returning To WDAY

Mike McFeely
After more than six years in PM Drive on KFGO 790 AM , popular talk radio host Mike McFeely is bringing his show back to its roots on WDAY 970 AM.

He'll also write  a column for The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead and inforum.com.

Beginning Monday, "The Mike McFeely Show" will air Monday-Friday on WDAY from 8:30-11 a.m., pitting him squarely against the show hosted by his former boss Joel Heitkamp on KFGO.

McFeely gave Heitkamp and KFGO notice of his resignation late Tuesday morning, though buzz about a major local radio shakeup had been rumored for weeks. His show will not air the rest of the week.

In returning to his longtime employer The Forum and 970 WDAY, McFeely cited a desire to reach a larger audience with his writing, collaborate with more journalists and be part of an aggressive and innovative multimedia company.

The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, 970 WDAY and Forum News Service are owned by Fargo-based Forum Communications Co.
WDAY 970 AM (10 Kw DA2) (Radio-Locator)
"WDAY-AM is a heritage radio station in this market. It is one of the few stations easily identifiable by its call letters. There is power and potential there. Combine that with the resources of Forum Communications and you could call 970 a sleeping giant in talk-radio in this market. I know many in the local radio industry view 970 that way."
