Glenn Beck
Syndicated Premiere radio talk host Glenn Beck is out of action for at least a month.  Doctors have accomplished something his detractors couldn't.  The doctor have ordered him to be silent to give his vocal chords a rest from his daily radio and video commitments. .

Beck made the announcement himself during a pre-recorded segment of Monday's show. "As you may or may not have noticed over the past couple of months, my voice has been changing a bit. Because I have had problems with my nerves in my vocal chords in the past where my voice has stopped working I have been a little concerned, but I have really, really great doctors."

He added this past Friday he consulted with them and "they have advised me to take a few weeks off and rest my voice due to some severe strain that has happened."

Beck indicated he intends on using the next few weeks on intensive study on figures of the past, on figures of courage, and of people who have really made a difference.  He also said he expects to be fit for an upcoming live event in Birmingham, AL on August 28th and 29th.
