MN Radio: KNXR 97.5 Returns As 'The Pulse'


KNXR 97.5 FM 97 Rochester, MN  returned to the air Tuesday afternoon with a new sound.

The station owned by Hometown Broadcasting will be known as Pulse FM and feature adult hit music from the 80s to now. Tom Garrett, former KYBA 105.3 FM morning host, will host the Med City Morning Show on Pulse FM weekday mornings from 5:30 a.m. - 10 a.m.

KNXR-FM had been off the air since January 31 when the station's easy-listening format ended.

Hometown Broadcasting, owner of KQPR 96.1 FM and KQAQ 970 AM, purchased KNXR from Tom Jones. Jones started the station in 1965 and programmed the station featuring timeless tunes of the 50s, 60s and 70. See original post: Click Here.

The station's 100,000 watt signal reaches parts of the Twin Cities metro, northern Iowa and western Wisconsin.
