R.I.P.: Longtime Potsdam Radio Newsman Scott Dosztan

Scott Dosztan
Scott Dosztan, news director at WSNN 99.3 FM and WPDM 1470 AM in Potsdam, NY collapsed walking to work and died.

He was 44-years-of-age according to North Country Now.

He had worked at the radio stations for more than 10 years.

“He was an old school news guy,” said the station’s general manager John Winter. “If he smelled something going on he had to dig until he got the answers. He tried to be the first to know without being pushy, but with persistence and curiosity. He was dedicated to the station and dedicated to the community. There are not many like him any more,” Winter said.

Dosztan got his first radio job at WLLG-WBRV. He also worked at stations in Plattsburgh and Gloversville.

He worked at the Potsdam radio stations from 1990 to 1993 and from 2000 until his death..
