Pittsburgh Radio: Quinn & Rose Report No Deal With WJAS

Quinn & Rose
Personalities Jim Quinn and Rose Tennent, formerly of WPGB 104.7 FM, say they have turned down an offer to be hosts on the newly launched Talk WJAS 1320 AM.

But, according to the Post-Gazette, the station’s ownership would not confirm their statement.

Frank Iorio, owner of Radio Partners LLC, which purchased WJAS early last month, said Friday that the company had been negotiating with the pair for months and that their statement about the live-stream was not true.

“I can’t comment on what people are saying on Twitter,” Iorio said.

The WJAS lineup now includes shows with Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and David “Bloomdaddy” Bloomquist.  WJAS broadcasts with 7Kw-Day, 3300 watts-Night.

Their show was abruptly canceled after the November 15, 2013 broadcast, with Clear Channel citing an inability to reach a contract extension, later suggestions indicating that Clear Channel budget cuts were at fault, and the show's affiliates claiming the duo was fired

WPGB-FM has since flipped its format to country.
