Philly Radio: WIP, Eagles Auction Raises $290K+

Sportradio WIP 94.1 FM reports this year's Philadelphia Eagles Radiothon Auction raised $290K+. Last week's auction set a record record raising $100K more than last year.  Proceeds benefit the Eagle Youth Partnership which serves over 50,000 low-income children focusing on health and eduation programs.

Last week's three-day auction offered Eagles fans and 94WIP listeners the opportunity to bid on unique sports-and entertainment-experience prizes involving their favorite Eagles players and 94WIP radio personalities.

“The kindness and generosity of WIP listeners and Eagles fans never fails to astonish me,” said Senior VP/Market Manager CBS Radio Philadelphia, Marc Rayfield. “Every year the donations we raise during the WIP Eagles Radiothon exceeds our expectations, but this year we set an all-time record. Radiothon is a source of pride among everybody at WIP. By working with Eagles Youth Partnership we’re able to help children here in the Delaware Valley through important programs that improve the local community.”
