WY Radio: Budget Cuts Hit KZJH

Two of the longest-tenured radio personalities in Jackson Hole, WY are no longer on the air, according to jhnewsandguide.com.

Tom Ninnemann and Holly Danner of Jackson Hole Radio confirmed Monday that their station’s parent company eliminated their positions last week.

The station’s news director and its longtime DJ both said they were told that Rich Broadcasting cut their jobs in an effort to reduce costs.

“I’m very grateful for the time I had on the air,” Danner said. “I hope the factors that led them to this decision change and they can either un-let-go me or I’ll find something else fabulous in Jackson Hole.”

Both Ninnemann and Danner have worked in valley broadcasting for more than 30 years in their respective positions.

“I have worked with these people for years and years,” Ninnemann said of his former co-workers. “They’re very much like extended family. We know each other’s kids and birthdays.”

Both said they hoped Rich Broadcasting keeps the community in mind as it moves forward.

The other Jackson Hole Radio employee included in the latest round of cuts was Bob Thompson, program director for KZJH 95.3 FM.
