R.I.P.: Paul Gibson PD At KDCD San Angelo, TX

San Angelo, TX on-air radio personality Paul “Gibson” Peterson died after suffering a stroke Sunday.

He was 44.

Peterson, who was program director and midday personality for KDCD Lonestar 92.9, died in a hospital after suffering a major stroke, according to a news release from Four R Broadcasting.

Peterson, who also was known as “Gibby” to colleagues and friends, had been with Four R since September 2010 and was named program director for KDCD since April 2012. He was originally from West Fargo, N.D.

He was described as “respected and loved by his listeners, co-workers and record industry professionals,” in the news release.

Funeral and burial services are pending.
