Miami Radio: Rick Sanchez To WIOD For PM Drive

Former CNN anchor, Richard Sanchez, has been signed by Clear Channel-Miami’s WIOD for afternoons 3p to 6p.

He succeeds Rich Minaya.

After years as the lead local anchor on Miami's WSVN, Sanchez moved to cable news, first as a daytime anchor at MSNBC and then later at CNN, where he began as a correspondent and ultimately rose to become an anchor. On CNN, he hosted his own show Rick's List and served as a contributor to Anderson Cooper 360° and CNN International, where he frequently reported and translated between English and Spanish.

He left CNN in Fall 2010 after remarks he made on Pete Dominick’s SiriusXM radio show, as he’d been feuding with Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart.

Sanchez joined FOX News in 2012 as a FOX News Contributor and a columnist for their FOX News Latino website.

  2. I've always liked the guy, but in this job you have to be as smart and informed as the audience,if not more so, and he is NOT!

  3. How are you going to put Rick Sanchez between Rush and Sean? It makes no sense.

Get rid of Rick, move Sean to 6 and bring back the Great One, Mark Levin.
